The Arena project as a basis for interdisciplinary research
Karlstad University coordinates one of the largest research initiatives within DigitalWell Arena: the Arena Project. It offers a base for six different research groups to collaborate on digital health innovation.
Together with Vinnova, Karlstad University is investing SEK 16 million between 2022 and 2026 in the Arena project. The research infrastructure will, among other things, enable the establishment of new research projects and interdisciplinary collaborations.
This means that researchers at Karlstad University will have more time to collaborate and find common research ideas – but also increased opportunities for collaboration with the public sector, businesses and civil society.
Six research groups are participating
In total, the Arena project includes some 20 researchers from six different research groups at Karlstad University. It also includes the Grants and Innovation Office (GIO), which has an important role in supporting research and innovation collaborations between the university and companies, organisations and authorities.
