Did you know that migraine affects more than one billion individuals each year across the world, and is one of the most common neurologic disorders globally? 

Estonian startup Migrevention took on a mission to develop a scalable solution that empowers individuals to take charge of their health – world’s first digital headache clinic. 

By combining a digital diary for headache sufferers and headache nurse counselling, Migrevention is solving a disease management problem for over 1 billion people, with only 1-4% of them receiving evidence-based treatment to date.

The Speaker

Katrina Laks is the CEO and co-founder of Migrevention, the first digital headache clinic in the world. Katrina founded Migrevention with top Estonian headache specialists to empower more than 1 billion people suffering from migraines to take control over their health and regain their life quality. 

Katrina’s thriving to create leading digital health innovation to support migraine patients globally has helped Migrevention to become one of the fastest-growing digital health companies in the Baltic region. 

Katrina is also one of the founding members of DTx Estonia, holds a Master of Science degree in Genetic Engineering and is a PhD candidate in Chemistry and Genetic Engineering at Tallinn University of Technology.
